We hope that our normal opening hours will resume as soon as possible.
We’re the only library service in the UK with a dedicated wellbeing service, providing drop-ins, reading lists and links to other resources to help you with your wellbeing. is at the heart of everything we do at Suffolk Libraries. Recent research has shown our activities can have a huge impact, including saving the NHS over £280,000 a year. This short film shows just some of the work we do. Thank you to Ipswich County Library, Gainsborough library and our wonderful customers for taking part.
At a recent Zoom meeting, Bruce Leeke, Suffolk Libraries CEO, and some of his team outlined some key points:
Can you help? We are currently looking for a small army of volunteers, across the county, who would be up for helping us sew face masks.
At this stage I just need to know who would be willing to help so if you can please reply, to me, providing your name, contact telephone number and name of your nearest library I will then contact you with further guidance and details.
These masks will go to support Suffolk Libraries front line staff initially and any customers wishing to use one.
Many thanks.
Diane
