DUE TO TIER 4 COVID19 RESTRICTIONS WE ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED.

We hope that our normal opening hours will resume as soon as possible.

During this second lockdown, we're providing safe and limited access to essential services from most of our library sites.

Thurston library is open during the second lockdown. For times and services after that, see the library door, Suffolk Libraries website and The Friends of Thurston Facebook page or website

The current opening times in Thurston are:

Monday:                  Closed

Tuesday:             14.00 - 17.00

Wednesday:        10.00 - 14.00

Thursday:            14.00 - 17.00 

Friday:                 10.00 - 14.00

Saturday:             10.00 - 13.00

Sunday:                  Closed

 

Please remember ...

The library is open for collecting reservations and
returning books. Reserve a book you want from
Suffolk Libraries book stock to collect at Thurston Library. You can reserve your choice of book online by phoning the library on 01359 235048 during opening hours - or online on the Suffolk Libraries website. Just type in ‘Suffolk Libraries’ and follow the link to the book you want to reserve.

Select and collect

You can tell Suffolk Libraries what you are interested in and librarians will try to find something that matches what you’re looking for. You can request a selection of titles based on a genre or author.

You can request books, audiobooks, DVDs, and music CDs.

To use Select and Collect you can either
• phone Thurston Library during opening hours to talk to the librarian or
• go online at https://www.suffolklibraries.co.uk/select-and-collect to complete a request form.

What’s on ... you can

return your books as usual-bring them to the library
• make online reservations and collect them from the library

• ‘Select and Collect’

• reserve a computer to use inside the library. PC booking for essential use such as Universal Credit ,jobseeking etc. join online events: online events can be found at https://www.suffolklibraries.co.uk/whats-on.

What’s not on ...
• All in-library events remain suspended in Suffolk, including by the Friends of Thurston Library
• Browsing in the library
• Printing in the library
• No cash payments are available in Suffolk Libraries: you can make card payments
• No room hire is available at any library in Suffolk including Thurston.
