Good news!

The library is open for browsing, collection of Select and Collect, and reservations.

Browsing in the library is restricted to 3 people in the library at a time and following a one-way system. We ask you politely to limit your visit to 10-15 minutes.

Please come masked, be prepared to sanitise your hands and take part in Track and Trace, either via the App of by filling out one of our slips.

We look forward to welcoming you back in.

Please continue to reserve books online or over the phone as we will be unable to do this in the library at this time. You can continue to return your books in the box at the entrance and take any out using the self-service machine.

‘Select and collect’

You can tell Suffolk Libraries what you are interested in and librarians will try to put together a bundle of titles for you to collect from Thurston Library. You can request a selection of titles based on a genre or author.

You can request books, audiobooks, DVDs, and music CDs.

To use Select and Collect you can either

•  phone Thurston Library during opening hours to talk to the librarian or

•  go online at https://www.suffolklibraries.co.uk/select-and-collect  to complete a request form.

Hopefully, soon, as the country reopens, more services will be available. You can find the latest information on the Friends of Thurston Library website (below) or on the Library door.
